In this weave, four Zones of reach are the warp and three landscapes of (and in) practice are the weft.
The warp represents ‘objective’, *out-there* fields of activist attention and action, organised under different kinds of scope and availability. They range from what might seem small or local, (intra)personal and labile or potentially ‘manageable’, to what are manifestly enormous, over-arching, epochal and deeply intractable.
The weft represents ‘subjective’, *in-here* kinds of perception and skill that activists need to cultivate and mobilise, all the way from: - engineering, husbandry or material-handling (the **material** landscape), through - communicative capability and the capacity to learn and organise (the **cultural** landscape), to - emotional intelligence, equanimity, self-knowledge and deep resonance with the deep time of species existence (the **aesthetic** landscape).

This map of a pattern language space also serves as the map for a [College of conviviality](https://foprop.org/doc/college-of-conviviality-LvZdb7uEyL). Four faculties of the college engage the four zones of reach, and each school within a faculty adopts a responsibility for curating and mobilising a specific familiy of patterns.
