# Pattern template NNN - NAME - Patterns are numbered NNN within each Faculty (zone of reach), and School (pattern family). Numbering is hexadecimal: goes 8, 9, A, B, C etc NAME - Pattern names for reference are in UPPER CASE. Extensions of the name may be in lower case.
Patterns are written within a template, as follows, moving from context and broad narrative (referencing affiliated and resonating patterns), through the core, to referencing patterns of tighter scope: 1. Broad strokes, context 2. Narrative - including resonating and affiliated patterns 3. Why this pattern? Specific contribution 4. Discussion & sources - Stories that flesh out or underpin the pattern 5. The pattern core 🔥 - The central intention. The basic altered relations of production embodied in this pattern. 6. Follow-on - Patterns of tighter scope
